MANAGING COMPLEXITY:
Working in and with Organisations
THE BAYSWATER INSTITUTE
WORKING CONFERENCE
at
The Spread Eagle Hotel and Health Spa
Midhurst
West Sussex GU29 9NH
England
In today’s complex and uncertain environment organisations need to develop their capacity to grasp and respond to problems and opportunities. There is an ever increasing demand on leaders, managers and consultants to review their situations in order to develop the capacity to understand and act as they interact with and influence the work itself. In turn there is a need for governance and operations to become more self-reviewing: this is the distinguishing feature of the Bayswater Conference known as the ‘double-task’
Consultants to the Conference
Derek Raffaelli is the Conference Director and is a free-lance organisational consultant and psychoanalytical psychotherapist. Recent and on-going work includes consulting to the Health Service Executive, Dublin, to the management of a High Street department store and teaching on a leadership development programme for a Danish-based global agri-business. He has coached executives in the USA and taught on an MBA executive programme at the International Hellenic University, Greece. This year he staffed the Il Nodo Conference in Italy. A frequent contributor to the International Professional Development Programme organised by the ProDev Institute, The Netherlands, he is a member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations, of the British Psychoanalytic Council and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Bayswater Institute.
Derek will select consultants from a group of professionals who have experience of the conference design and are members of the Working Conference College.
